Over the weekend, President Obama approved a highly controversial prisoner swap, in which the United States released five prisoners held in Guantanamo Bay in exchange for the release of U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, who had been held by the Taliban for almost five years.
Everyone is glad to see a POW returned to his family and friends back in America. Some however are upset that the trade released five dangerous Taliban fighters from U.S. custody. Others are concerned that the President violated proper procedures created for the release of prisoners. Details on the incident can be read here.
